Mr SOUTHWICK — I would like to highlight three events I attended during the week of Anzac Day. Firstly, the City of Glen Eira ceremony in Caulfield Park, which was exceptionally organised by CEO Andrew Newton, mayor Margaret Esakoff and the council.
Ormond Amateur Football Club organised an outstanding service. President Ray Wood, John and Rachel Decker, and friends and members of the club are to be congratulated.
On Anzac Day I joined veterans and their families at the Caulfield RSL dawn service to honour the memory of those who fought for Australia. It was a moving service, and I would like to acknowledge the president, Bob Larkin, and the secretary, Vin Heffernan, for their excellent work year after year.
It was certainly a cold morning, but each year the crowds at this service get bigger. I look forward to commemorating Anzac Day at this service again next year.
