Education: funding

Mr SOUTHWICK (Caulfield) — When I first saw the matter of public importance (MPI) raised by the Leader of the Opposition I was very interested to hear his contribution, and I think all members of Parliament were interested, particularly since education is important to all of us. I note that the member for Albert Park is wandering out of the chamber. He should possibly stay and listen rather than writing a fictional novel about the twilight zone and Dracula, because the matter of public importance before the house takes absolutely no interest in understanding where the blame lies in the neglect of our education institutions over 11 years.
