Teachers: industrial action

To the Legislative Assembly of Victoria:

The petition of the undersigned residents of Victoria draws to the attention of the house the current dispute between the Australian Education Union (AEU) and the coalition government of Victoria and points out to the house that we support the teachers of Victoria (as represented by the AEU) in their request for an increase in remuneration, increased resources for their schools and decreased class sizes.

The petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Assembly of Victoria delivers a speedy and fair resolution of the current industrial action between the AEU and the coalition government of Victoria.

By Mr SOUTHWICK (Caulfield) (191 signatures).
