On Wednesday 14 August 2013, David Southwick undertook the exciting task of becoming a ‘Principal for a day’ at Caulfield South Primary School. The day provided a fantastic opportunity for David to meet with staff and students during a regular school day and engage with their activities.
Caulfield South Primary School has had a proud history of providing education for the local community for more than 80 years. Caulfield South is a place of structured inquiry, learning and purpose, with a caring ethos developed in a safe, happy and supportive environment.
The ‘Principal for a day’ program was created in 2001 to increase and strengthen relationships between the private and state education sectors. David’s visit was undertaken at the same time as the Year 6 students are learning about the important role Government plays in our society.
“Thankfully I didn’t have to attend to any major incidents,” David said. “I had the chance to be see a great school in action with excellent teachers and kids.”
