This year, being the 100th anniversary of the landings at Gallipoli on 25th April 1915, the Caulfield RSL has developed an exhibition at rear of its premises at 4 St Georges Road, Elsternwick.
The exhibition, in an area of 800 square metres, re-creates a Gallipol battlefield of 1915 – with trenches, uniforms, replicated scenes and simulated artillery.
The ‘Back to Gallipoli’ Exhibition opens on Monday 20th April and will run until Sunday 26th April. Local residents are encouraged to visit the exhibition and experience first-hand what life was like for thousands of young soldiers in Turkey in 1915.
