If you’ve ever been bamboozled by a contract or left flustered by a door to door salesman, then I encourage you to attend my upcoming forum: “What Are My Consumer Rights?”
This community forum at the Caulfield South Community House will help residents understand their rights, cooling off periods and courses of action with regard to many day-to-day sales transactions.
Mark Tuesday June 16th in your diary, with the forum commencing at 6:30pm. Refreshments will be provided.
Staff from the Consumer Action Law Centre will provide helpful advice, explain your options and answer your specific questions.
Money-lending contracts and the real meaning of ‘interest free’ can also create confusion for people, and this forum will give attendees the opportunity to ask questions as well as learn about the latest legislation protecting their rights. Many members of our community can find the contracts presented to them as confusing or not clear on the buyer’s obligations regarding payment.
The event is free however bookings are necessary. I encourage you to email or phone my office to RSVP and secure your seat.
