During 9-11 June, Queen’s Hall in Victoria Parliament House was transformed into the MediFuture Exhibition. The exhibition, organised by the Zionist Council of Victoria, gave exhibitors the opportunity to demonstrate the leaps and bounds Israel has made and continues to make in health and medicine.
The Coalition has always understood the importance and valued the contribution innovation makes to our quality of living and the economy, particularly when it comes to medicine and health.
The previous Victorian Coalition Government built upon Victoria’s strong relationship with Israel by re-establishing the Victoria-Israel Science Innovation and Technology Scheme (VISITS), an innovation-collaboration and partnership between Victoria and Israel. The VISITS scheme encouraged Victoria and Israel to work collaboratively on projects of mutual benefit and learn from Israel’s leadership in innovation, business and health.
It is through these collaborations that Victoria can be a leader in health and medical services, and transform the health industry through inventions like ReWalk, a robot exoskeleton for those with spinal injuries, or the revolutionary B-Cure Laser.
