There are many ways to get involved in with David’s political office specifically, and with the community in general. If you would like to register your interest in one or more of the initiatives below please do so by completing the get involved form:
Volunteering in David’s office – Selected students (both high school and university aged) will be given the opportunity to spend an agreed period volunteering in David’s office. Successful applicants will experience the day-to-day running of the electoral office, better understand the role of an MP and gain an insight into the political process. This opportunity is invaluable for students hoping to work in the political sphere.
Youth Parliament – The electoral office will run two teams in the Victorian Youth Parliament. The program gives students an opportunity to research key issues and provide arguments in a mock parliament setting. The research program will take place between March and May 2011. If you would like to be considered for one of the teams, please complete the get involved form.
Run around the Park – In 2011 Caulfield will host the inaugural Run around the Park. The run will raise money for local community organisations, and staffed by volunteers from those organisations. If you or your organisation would like to be a part of the run, please indicate this on the get involved form.
